Bachelor of Science Degree In Business Management Online Degree Completion Program |
Northwest has entered into several articulation agreements with community colleges in Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Kansas. These agreements express a shared commitment to increasing the opportunity for students to gain access to and success in higher education. By clarifying transfer policies and procedures which assure articulation between programs, the institutions involved seek to assist students in making a seamless transfer from the associate in applied science degree to the baccalaureate degree.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree program may be completed at Northwest either by attending traditional campus-based classes or by participating in Northwest's Web-based online degree program.
These articulation agreements provide students who have earned an Associate in Applied Science in Business degree the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Northwest. Any student who has earned an Associate in Applied Science in Business degree from one of the articulated community college programs is guaranteed that Northwest will accept designated freshman and sophomore business administration credit hours, general education credits required for the AAS degree, plus any freshman and sophomore general education hours required by Northwest beyond the AAS degree. Northwest will apply such credit hours to the Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree in a manner consistent with the treatment of all Northwest students.
If a student has not completed an AAS degree in business from an articulated community college program, the student will need to work closely with a Northwest advisor in business management to determine the best course of action to take in order to achieve their academic goals. Generally, it would be recommended that the student transfer their college credits into one of the AAS degree programs in business that Northwest has signed articulation agreements with. Working with an advisor from that community college, the student should map out an academic program that will enable them to obtain an AAS degree in business plus any other requirements stipulated in the articulation agreement. Once this is achieved, the student is then in a strong position to transfer into the Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree completion program at Northwest.
