Community Colleges / Northwest Connections

Northwest has entered into several articulation agreements with community colleges in Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Carolina and Oklahoma. These agreements express a shared commitment to increasing the opportunity for students to gain access to and success in higher education. By clarifying transfer policies and procedures which assure articulation between programs, the institutions involved seek to assist students in making a seamless transfer from the associate in applied science degree to the baccalaureate degree.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Management may be completed at Northwest either by attending traditional campus-based classes or by participating in Northwest's Web-based online degree programs.

Northwest Missouri State University's Online Completion Degree Program

Northwest Missouri State University's online degree program in Business Management is a completion degree and not full four year degree program. That means that our online programs are designed for students who have completed most, if not all, of the general education classes required for a bachelors degree. In addition, students should also have completed some of the basic or principle business and accounting classes.

However, there may be some students who will need to take some principle business and possibly some general education classes that are not offered as online classes at Northwest. What that means for some students is that not all of the classes that you may need to complete can be taken online through Northwest .

Therefore, to get your degree online, you may need to take some of these courses (either online or in the classroom) at another accredited college or university and then transfer those classes into Northwest for credit. Courses transferred into Northwest must have prior Northwest department approval, which normally involves a department review of the course syllabus. You Northwest academic advisor can help you with this process.
